Property investigation of the wedge-shaped CsI(Tl) crystals for a charged-particle telescope

نویسندگان

چکیده

Two types of wedge-shaped CsI(Tl) crystals were designed to be placed behind an annular double-sided silicon detector identify light charged-particles with the ΔE−E method. The properties detectors different shapes and sizes investigated using α source a radioactive beam 15C. larger crystal was found have better energy resolution, smaller output non-uniformity, as well particle identification capability, finally adopted form ΔE-E telescope. performance two are interpreted based on Geant4 simulation results.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Analysis of the Dynamic Sensitivity of Hemisphere-Shaped Electrostatic Sensors’ Circular Array for Charged Particle Monitoring

Electrostatic sensor arrays (ESAs) are promising in industrial applications related to charged particle monitoring. Sensitivity is a fundamental and commonly-used sensing characteristic of an ESA. However, the usually used spatial sensitivity, which is called static sensitivity here, is not proper for moving particles or capable of reflecting array signal processing algorithms integrated in an ...

Casimir densities for wedge-shaped boundaries

The vacuum expectation values of the field squared and the energy-momentum tensor are investigated for a scalar field with Dirichlet boundary conditions and for the electromagnetic field inside a wedge with a coaxial cylindrical boundary. In the case of the electromagnetic field perfectly conducting boundary conditions are assumed on the bounding surfaces. By using the Abel-Plana-type formula f...
